The dragonflight alpha just started and we already have some really interesting information as we have discovered some really interesting dragon murals more than likely from Valdrakken depicting angelic-like beings and 4 dragon aspects.
Now when you examine this picture there are 3 known dragon aspects and a purple one that we have never seen before in the past. Could this indicate that there is a purple Dragonflight, a 6th dragon aspect that we never knew anything about?

Red to guard life, blue to guard magic, green to guard the cycle, bronze to guard time, and black to guard the earth. Maybe purple to guard the elements? Because I know some of the storm dragons from Legion are purple, maybe they were like the police that kept elemental lords in check.
Look at their head, its a proto-dragon. Could it be an aspect that did not fought with Galakrond and never achieved to become a modern dragonflight?
The angel having a horde symbol could symbolize that they are naaru. Many have thought the horde symbol to be a naaru since they communed with the spirits in oshu'gun, which was only a place of spiritual power because of the naaru within.
that angel mural has been in the game since wrath of the lich king. it is on 2 roofs currently in wyrmrest temple. it is simply getting updated.
I'm excited, but it's tempered and not just based on other YT videos and player feedback. From a lore perspective, I want to see either Chromatus or Galakrond. I understand the hype behind Murazond, but anyone who has read the novels (Don't you guys have books?), these two dragons (or more if you count Chromatus as several individual dragons) would be an interesting shift in lore and were, at the time, powerful enough to rival a titan or better. Not exactly a cosmic threat, but enough of one to fully put the Jailer in the past and introduce some serious power players who have been a part of Warcraft lore in a more meaningful way so far than the Jailer.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t put it past an artist who doesn’t know anything about the lore to put a Spyro colored dragon there for fun, not thinking about the actual meaning behind it.
i find it strange that doron did not mention that the top left angel had blonde hair and the other three had brown hair
i really hope we find out that the purple flight neltharian was trying to make was a real flight but he wanted them to be under his control, and id like to see there actually be more dragon flights

The bronze and black Dragonflight have existed since the beginning, Nozdormu and Neltharian were both the part of the group along with Alexstraza, Ysera, and Malygos to assist the Titan Keepers with stopping Galakrond from destroying the world so it’s definitely not some “they split the power” thing.
i think it's neltharion. we have only seen the metallic deathwing side of him in-game. maybe this is what her looked like prior to becoming corrupted by the old gods.
A new, ultra progressive, ultra camp dragonflight
Valkyr. plus kalec is in the paiting. So I highly doubt it. since kalec wasn't the aspect at that time.

Imagine Blizzard writers are so bad that they have to rewrite every little aspect of the story to make their bad stories make sense. And it still doesn't make sense because you need to go out of your way to read tons of books to make it make sense. They literally get paid to do low quality fanfiction with 0 respect for the warcraft universe's laws.

Perhaps there were originally 6 flights with each representing one of the 6 cosmological forces. Bronze=Light/Holy/The Naaru, Green=Life/Nature/Wild Gods, Blue=Order/Arcane/The Titans, Purple=Shadow/VoidGod's, Lords/Old Gods, Black=Death/Necromantic/Undead, Red=Disorder/Fel/Burning Legion. I know it makes little sense for Alexstraza to be connected to Disorder but that realm is tied to the fire element. One could argue that Nozdormu/Moruzond embody Order/Disorder but the Bronze flight probably would fit more closer to Holy/Light than any other flight and the Red flight foes fit in with Disorder especially given that in addition to fel the Burning Legion does use fire and Sargares is also often seen using fire.
The blue dragon depicted in the mural could very well be Sindrigosa as she was the leader of the blue's way back, iifc.
And perhaps the purple dragon could have been the aspect of spirit before it was consumed by Azeroth?

We have the aspect of life, the aspect of earth, the aspect of magic, the aspect of the dream and the aspect of time…. but the elemental plane is literally a massive thing in the lore… but does not have its own aspect? yes, you can argue that was part of the blacks charge… but… not really. we have simply assumed that… What if the aspect of elements… or the dragon that was going too be the aspect of elements… was the one that led the protodragons in the war, and is the big bad they said we will know about by the end of 10.0

If they go the route of a 6th flight thats purple Im going to start to beleive blizzard can zap ideas from their fans brains, particularly me from 15 years ago. I wrote stories to each of my and my friends characters within the warcraft universe and the main big story was the discovery of a hidden 6th “purple” dragonflight. One that Neltharion and later Nefarion were trying to replicate with their experiments. Leading to the birth of a black and chromatic dragon named Nelzarius. Who becomes a threat to the modern day Azeroth as he unlocks the truth of the 6th flight that he seeks to be the new Aspect of.
There is always a sixth ranger. Sometimes a seventh!
What if like you said it was meant to be an aspect but instead of choosing the titans power or the light in the middle. It chose the void and the old gods which there power is 90 percent of the time purple. And he will be one of the main raid bosses of dragonflight and it will lead to more void filled dragons and then maybe they will actually introduce a void lord. After all we have always had the Naaru which are like light lords.
And it is strange the purple dragon isn't using his power its almost like it's in rebellion. Though if the purple dragon is just neltharion and for some reason nozdormu or murozond isn't up there. It also could make since because it could be a picture of the dragon soul being made which neltharion didn't give any of his magic to. But why wouldn't they include murozond he definitely put power into the dragon soul.
I think that there was a sixth dragon friend that isn't included in the galakrond story for some reason but instead of siding with the titans and Tyr specifically he sided with the old gods whispers. Because if titans get corrupted at about 50 to 60 percent it would make since that dragons did the same. So neltharion has been corrupted by old gods so has murozond and lastly so has ysera, And malecgos just went mad. But none of the three that have been corrupted really championed the void. They were just corrupted causing chaos to help the underlying old gods take over easier. However what if one dragon actually believed that the void is the good guys like alleria. And chose to actually champion the void like alleria. And because he did this the other dragon aspects trapped and hid him on the dragon isles. Because if you remember it was difficult for things to leave pandaria before it was revealed. And so the dragon isles were hidden from us but the rest of azeroth was also hidden from the dragon isles if that makes since.
Would be interesting to have another aspect, something like Aspect of Twilight…not sure what it would represent, but would be cool nonetheless.

what speaks for it lore we learn that the distribution was task (dracty starting area)
the angel holds a shield in wow a symbol for tanks / distribution
and the gemstone from alpha is also purple and named after aspect of earth
if you look around on dragon island we often compare black dragon swarm with the color purple from banna to jewel
the question asks a lot more why only 4 where the aspect of the time
