People love laughing with Honest Trailers, How It Should Have Ended, Robot Chicken, etc poking fun of Star Trek but why are some people mad over Star Trek Lower Decks?
I grew up on Trek but this cartoon is just a full comedy/parody not canon cartoon series where things don't have to fit into a timeline or pre-set events which is like watching Family Guy – Trek cutaway scenes they get lots of laughs or Robot Chicken – Trek mini-scenes. Try watching Archer 1999. Tripping The Rift, Futurama, even Galaxy Quest.
It's ok to love Trek and still laugh at this one silly show like this.
Original actors, including the ones who played Riker and Q, have come back to do voice work on it and said they enjoyed doing it.
If they are ok with it, shouldn't the viewers be ok with it or just do not watch and ignore it?
BTW the actors who played Riker and Troi were in Disney's Gargoyles animated series.
It's like watching Blue Harvest, Something, Something, Darkside. Just have a good laugh.
Why couldn't Star Wars try this in a cartoon and go full comedy too?
Life can be too serious so escape it for a short moment and just laugh.

Is this total different then star trek. No science just goofy episodes. Not bad, but its just not the Star Trek what everyone loves.

just started watching. I like it. up to episode 4 and I've had a few laughs.
I wish there was better marketing on Prime itself. I didn't hear about this until today despite having several Star Trek shows and movies on my watch list and rewatching them. A shame that it isn't announced in the app or anything. Well, now I'm excited to rewatch it starting tomorrow.

Lower Decks is more 'star trekkie' than Discovery and Picard combined
It has lot of easter egg references to TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager series such as the Landru computer, The Janeway Protocol, Salt Vampires and the Gorn

Tfw a comedy cartoon is more "Star Trek" than Discovery and Picard.
Great just a shame EVERYTHING has already been spoiled for us because of CBS's decision to move it's U. S air date to before Discovery season 3 instead of after like it was originally planned
