If this was a game id buy it if it was a rpg and had new game plus .
A 2D, side scrolling beat-em-up, with lite role playing mechanics, a equipment system and procedurally generated stages and enemies to simulate different dimensions, maybe have it based on dimensional numbers you can manually input on the portal gun yourself, based on Rick and Morty with different branching story paths. Reserve cannon dimensional numbers from the show for those stages. Include a score and top score to keep the arcade theme, but use the points as a form of in-game currency.Toss in other characters you can unlock along the way.
Oh and if you can, maybe strike up with a deal and create a bonus boss based off Bill Cypher.
