Whats up with the thumbnail pic….is that the illuminati sign?
This sounds like the best job in the whole wide world
So the writers literally just went "And then Rick turns himself into a pickle, funniest shit I've ever seen" when writing pickle Rick
The circle at 3 minutes is the circle in season 4 episode 6 at 14 minutes ish where they were breaking meta and talking about story
How they write Rick and Morty. They go on reddit.
Edgy garbage show. I honestly can't believe that this guy actually thinks its jokes are funny and smartly written. Surprising since his vids are usually really informative and useful
This was helpful. Thanks!
this isn’t true they just get high and write the most random shit and throw it into an episode
you should really look over evil morty episode, it tells 4 stories
your videos quality are so amazing !
If your channel was a company I’d buy stock in it
Which interview does Dan Harmon talk about how other writers come in and write the jokes after the story is tight? Maybe I missed it but I couldn't find it in the links in the description
I'm going to watch this video over and over again. Thank you so much!
Show me what you gooooooooooot
Havent watched a single episode but it seems like they've done psychedelics before
we all know how they write rick and morty, slowly
A junk drawer planet/ dimension would be a cool idea, this has just evolved in my mind that this place could be a dumping ground for some highly advanced interdenominational species or it could be some portal loophole/ glitch that sends stuff there randomly, the premise of one mans junk being another treasure is both ironic and fitting for Rick.
I thought it was just Justin getting plastered and being spontaneous lol
You break it down pretty good and it feels informative but I disagree with certain parts. I feel that the core of Rick and Morty besides Rick and Morty is sci-fi and that the humor is centrated around this not satire or cynisism or sarkasm. The jokes or the humor also almost always relies on the personality of the characters and that you understand those personalities. I dont like neither how you want to display or portrait the characters and their part in the show, one example that I feel is very important to the show about the characters are the support characters and many episodes almost completly center around these support characters and how the main characters relate to these like the Meeseeks. Also a story circle cant be applied to any project. It may work here bc first it is a tv series and secondly bc the writers probably felt that this will help the viewer feel at home when going through the episodes. So that it flows this way and isnt completly all over the place like the humor and what happens in the episodes. And sure Rick is adventurous maybe and Morty might be his anker or voice of reason and stuff like that but yeah they are first and foremost going through a process I feel through the series. I also feel that they have made the characters feel unique and that you see this first not their traits. Oh and Free Rick! I think is genius bc Rick cant be free'd mainly bc he always falls back in his own patterns and also bc there are sooo many Ricks, I dont know if thats correct but yeah. I think that You def dont nail their complex personalities anyways, that you rationalize them! Uhm also writing resources on a personal belief or view shouldnt be applied! My feelings not Rick and Morty history!
Tyler, thanks for putting this information together. I'm becoming a huge fan of your channel and learning a lot.
6:55 You won't regret it.
Thx youtube algorithm
This is great. I think you should definitely break down the writing process of more shows!
Thank you Tyler! I’m finally starting to write my first draft of my script!
Maybe what Liberals did wrong is not kill somebody.
Yeah, Liberals did something wrong, now Trump is King.
Gays mistreated Blacks so badly in the past, Blacks could vote for Trump again. Or…logic.
Heroes journey?
I'm kinda over rick and Morty now.. 2-4 years between seasons. Only 11 or something episodes. Staling on continuing a season. No real ark in this new season. Rick's toilet was the funniest episode of the season.. hopefully they turn it around
Who else has the new five Episodes recorded? Only watched the first three so far
Thanks for a great video man!
Tyler: I saw "The Assistant" today. I'd love to see you discuss this film on your channel. The concept of how Kitty Green wrote the script (and briefly talked about backstories in scripts) blew me away. After a trip (ironically to LA) in the next few weeks I should have more time to look at your screenwriting course.
Thanks for the great video. I wish the show would hurry back tho.
Can i ask what sreenwriting software you are using ?
First they get cucked, then they weite down their shame
Can the Store Circle be used to write novels, novellas, short stories, etc?
Hi Tyler I love your work and video I’m a webtoon author and artist and I also have a YouTube channel and I’m struggling a lot on writing. Your videos help me a lot can you also do BoJack horseman if you saw this comment please do a “how to write a BoJack horseman” in this concept and I highly recommended that you should do “I wrote a screenplay” more
I think that the reason why the characters don't change like they're supposed by the circle (Hero's journey) is because this is a series, and they rely on their characters resting after each episode. If you're telling another type of story such as a book or a movie things would be different.
The title is a joke. The answer is they don't write Rick and Morty.
Pickle Rick and the dragon episode are the worst episodes. They feel counterfeit like a fanfiction R&M.
"70% of my viewers aren't subscribed"
You son of a bitch, I'm in
