This is one of my favorite episodes of this show still. i just remember when the show first came out, this was the episode that really sucked me in. its just so different

Something funny to keep in mind about Futurama is that the writer's room was filled to the brim with people with degrees in physics and maths, so there are a lot of maths easter eggs and more importantly every time the show messes with the rules of physics and is on the nose about it you know the writers were leaning into it.
So they have a line of emperors that come to powder by drinking their predecessors yet the current emperor is okay with being inside a drinkable container that anyone had access to. I would say someone trapped him in there but why not just kill him immediately? Makes no sense but the concept of Fry drinking an emperor is still funny.
This show sometimes is complete absurdity and sometimes changing the dynamic of the entire show. At the beginning we have more light-hearted stories that poke fun at storytelling itself. Love Futurama
One of my favourite episodes it’s just so absurd idea but it works well love the Shady dealer guy. Take lungs now gills come later don’t know if you play pen and paper rpg like dungeon and dragons but I use that guy a lot as a wondering merchant actually named Shay de dealer
