Thank you for the video, its helped me decide which kit to get. I used to play D&D with my friends in my teens and in my early twenties. So can the dm screen from the essentials kit be used with the starter set?
You mentioned online resources for adapting the Starter Set to be played with a smaller number of player characters. Can you provide links? I googled but didn't find anything concrete and I'll be DMing and none of us have ever played before.
God I want the essentials kit so much! Unfortunately my current salary doesn't afford me the luxury, despite the low price. In fact, all the useful goodies are part of why I want it so much. Oh well… guess I'll have to wait a few more months. I just hope I'll still be able to find it.
Can you use the premade characters from the starter set with this kit?
nice video. i know its a older video but i ahave question. So i never played dnd, but my friends and me wants to play, i would be the dm. So what would be better for starter? I watched the whole video and i liked both products. Do i need to buy both for the full dnd experincen?

Free option doesn't have Bard like stated but does let you level 4 classes to 20.
